Koishiwara ware from Fukuoka, Japan

Koishiwara ware is a kind of pottery made in Fukuoka, Japan. It originated around Year 1669.

In the Brussels international expo in 1958, Koishiwara ware received Grand Prize, which led it to be famous with “The Beauty of Utility”. 

Koishiwara ware's characteristics lies in the patterns that develop when applied while rotating on a potter's wheel.

Other features include elegant texture, beautiful form and so on.
